Hiya,

I spent quite a few years collecting degrees: a Bachelor's and Master's in Bioinformatics. (With minors in application development and science communication.)

But there's something I've learned about myself:

I definitely love learning and gaining new skills. I just hate school.

Give me a random question at 11 pm, and I will happily spend the next three hours finding out everything there is to know about it. Give me an exam on the same subject next week, and suddenly I have developed a deep interest in staring at the wall.

I've noticed that my curiosity is coming back now that the academic pressure is finally gone, along with the mental drain of school. I'm collecting information again just because I want to figure the world out, not because I'm trying to get good grades. Falling down Wikipedia wormholes. Going "wait, but why?" about completely mundane things. Getting disproportionately excited when I finally understand something.

So I made this website to give all of that somewhere to go.

Think of this website as my online notebook. A place to dump the things I've learned, the things I'm currently obsessing over, and the questions that somehow got much more elaborate than they needed to be.

There probably won't be a particularly coherent theme. One day I might write about science, the next about a popular topic, and the day after that about some incredibly niche question that absolutely nobody asked me to investigate.

It's basically a collection of things I know, things I think, and things I went down a rabbit hole about.
